DOTHAN:    An important fact about Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish.

On Thursday morning Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish was on the streets at 4 AM. In fact, he was seen at the Dothan Police gas pumps at 4:15 AM.

Chief Parrish, as we understand, wanted to meet with Patrol Shift Officers. he wanted to chat and see how things are going, what they need and comments from them.

Parrish has implemented a strategic planning for the present and future of Dothan Police Department. He wants the officers to be brutally honest about issues they have or perceive within the department. In fact, the officers can leave  their names off the submitted pages.

The time also allows Chief Parrish to just look around at the city at 4 AM.

Chief Parrish has a police radio in his car and police equipment in his car.

NOTE: 

Why are you writing this article Rickey? Because I will point out when the officials are not doing their jobs. So when they are doing their job above and beyond, their employers need to know.

And their employers is not Mike West as most Dothan Department Heads think. Their employers are the citizens of the City of Dothan.

West is an employee of the City of Dothan. And we hold Mayor Schmitz, Kevin Dorsey, Amos Newsome, Albert "The Choker" Kirkland, John Ferguson, Beth Kenward and Hamp Baxley responsible. When a department head or Mike West is not doing their jobs, the voters fire one or more of these 7 people.

And their evaluation time is in 2017. The citizens will evaluate the 7!!
