Arrest Made in Dollar Store Robbery

HOUSTON COUNTY: Houston County Sheriff’s Deputies made an arrest in Saturday’s Armed Robbery of the Dollar General in Cowarts.


Houston County Sheriff’s Deputies say a man walked into the Dollar General in Cowarts Saturday night and forced the clerk at gunpoint to hand over the cash drawer.

"We had some info when he left the scene and working the area we were able to gather more.. which gave us possibilities of a vehicle.."


Early Tuesday, an off-duty Deputy spotted a vehicle matching that description.


After making the stop, Houston County Deputies arrested 22 year old Eddie Joe Seago of Dothan an charged him with 1st Degree Robbery.
