Assault 2nd and Robbery 1st Arrest

On 8/27/2017, Patrol responded to the 2100 block of Denton Rd on an Assault call. Once on scene, it was determined that, in the process of trying to take possession of a dog from the victim, Waylon Barnett (24) used an edged weapon to assault the victims friend who was attempting to help her.
The injuries were not considered to be life threatening. Barnett was arrested for Robbery 1st and Assault 2nd a short time later. Bonds were set at $60,000.00 and $15,000.00 respectively.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
