Paisley is a 5 year old and is currently undergoing cancer treatments. 100% of the money that is raised through this fundraiser will go to benefit her family. We need people to put together BBQ teams and let us know they are coming before March 1 so we can mark them off a spot in the church parking lot.
This event will be held on March 3 at New Hinson Baptist Church 1143 County Rd. 48 Slocomb, Al. It is actually located in the Fadette community off of County Rd. 49 in Geneva County. There is no entry fee as teams will buy and cook their own meat.
The food that is cooked will be judged and the remainder will be placed in the food line for everyone to sample. Donations to eat only. There will be prizes for the winners of each category and some door prizes. No one has to be a professional cook to come be a part.
Please respect the occasion and the location, so no alcoholic beverages. All that are interested will need to let us know what they are cooking on. For example, if they are using an electric smoker, we will need to make arrangements for them to be close to an outlet. Those will need to bring their own extension cords. We welcome anyone with pull behind smokers to cheap backyard grills!
This will be a great time of fellowship and a great way to meet a need in our community. Those interested or who just have questions are encouraged to call the church office weekdays at 334-886-3097 or 334-701-5214.
