Troy University, in partnership with the Wiregrass Blues Society, will present the educational components of the seventh annual Wiregrass Blues Fest.
Through a grant from the Alabama Humanities Foundation, TROY presented two “Blues in Schools” programs that featured saxophonist/vocalist Vanessa Collier, this year’s festival main headliner, who is also an award-winning music educator.
The two events introduced blues music to hundreds of children from various Dothan City Schools. The programs took place at 10:30 a.m. and at 1 p.m. at the Dothan Opera House.
