The Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call today about 12:30 PM of a body in a creek in the 100 block of Lee Road 454, in east Lee County. Upon arrival by deputies, they located the body of a white female face down in the water of the creek.

The decedent has been identified as 47-year-old Amy Katherine Hagler, of Columbus, GA. Lee County Coroner Bill Harris pronounced Hagler dead at the scene. Her body has been taken to the medical examiner’s office of the Alabama Dept. of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery for a postmortem examination.
