DOTHAN:   Congratulations to Dothan Police Lt. Benny Baxley. 


Lt. Baxley retired after 29 years of service with the Dothan Police Department. His last area of command was the School Resource Officers within the Dothan City Schools for the Dothan Police Department.


Folks...this makes me feel r-e-a-l OLD. Because when I served as Houston County Coroner, Benny BaColey worked in the emergency room at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Before he ever became a police officer. in my defense, I was only 21 years old when elected as Coroner!


So I have had the pleasure of knowing Benny Baxley before he ever joined the police force. He has always been someone that just did his job. Very quiet in nature, very professional, very truthful, just doing his job each and every day.


Congraulations LT. Baxley for your 29 years of dedicated duty.


NOTE:   For some reason my computer kept changing Baxley to Bailey. I caught a couple of them. Typed it Baxley. But that has since been corrected.
