HOUSTON COUNTY: Today when District 4 Houston County Commissioner Brandon Shoupe was notified of the structure fire in his district that was a major fire. You know what he did?
Commissioner Shoupe responded to the scene.
On the scene he spoke to the volunteers showing his and the county support, spoke to the Fire Chief's and Emergency Management to see if there were any needs in which he could assist.
Commissioner Shoupe then went to the homeowner who had just lost all of her possesssions. He expressed his concern, sympathy, and desire to assist in anyway legally possible.
And as quietly as Commissioner Shoupe eased into the scene - he eased out.
Commissioner Shoupe, when notified, of activity in District 4 will respond and check on the people. Shoupe also looks around while on the scene on the cause of the incident and is there anything that the county can do to improve the situation to prevent any future occurrences.
Today the structure fire involved the county only in the support of the emergency responders. Commissioner Shoupe supports the first responders and Emergency Management. He wants to make sure the necessary resources are available in order to serve the citizens and guests of Houston County when emergencies strike.
