The Friends of the Library will host a book sale at the Downtown Dothan Library Community Room (445 North Oates Street) on Thursday, August 16 through Sunday, August 19, 2018.
Friends of the Library members may shop for free at the Preview Sale on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Not-yet-members who would like to shop at the Preview Sale may join the Friends of the Library for $5 at the door. Book sale hours on Friday are 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., books will be 25 cents each and vintage books will be half price. Also on Sunday, books will be available for free to non-profit groups who make pre-arrangements.
Shop for new and gently used hardback and paperback fiction and nonfiction books on a variety of subjects. Audiobooks, DVDs and vintage books are also available. Hardback books are $2.00 each and paperback books are $1.00 each. All children’s books are $.50 each. Customers can stuff a large brown grocery sack full of books and materials for $20.00.
All proceeds from this sale will be donated to the library for technology improvements.
