COMMENTS

Slaughter cows steady and bulls 3 to 5 lower  . Replacement pairs and bred cows steady to firm on a short supply . Calves and feeder cattle mostly steady with some classes 1 to 3 higher. Market starting off solid after the break and I think it will gain strength as we go along. There is certainly plenty of demand with most feedlots in the West having lots of empty pens. Fed cattle in the West last week sharply higher @ 1.12  to 1.14. No auction cattle reported in Iowa last week. Thanks for letting us handle your cattle and if we can be of any help, just let us know.
