I decided, after much thought and Prayer, to seek the Office of Houston County Coroner. I want to put my years of experience and compassion to work for you.

I believe that the Office of Coroner is one of the most important elected offices in the State of Alabama. In today’s Houston County; the Coroner’s Office should be a fulltime position held by a person that is qualified to investigate any kind of death and render the cause of death based on solid facts and physical evidence.

The Coroner has a responsibility to investigate each death as a priority and treat the deceased and their family with dignity, compassion, and respect.

I have over thirty (30) years of investigative law enforcement experience and thousands of hours of training that qualifies me to be the Coroner of Houston County, Alabama. During my law enforcement career, I investigated hundreds of suspicious, natural, and accidental deaths. I worked diligently to be certain that all the facts were obtained, documented, and presented in court when necessary. I also believe that each family should have the correct answers to their questions and not a hypothesis.

Based on my personal experience and training, I have testified in State and Federal Courts throughout the nation as an expert witness on many topics. In doing so, this reaffirmed my attention to detail. Every article and statement can be extremely important and potential evidence in a criminal or civil proceeding.

In addition, any person that I may choose to assist me as a Deputy Coroner will have the investigative training and experience necessary to fill such a critical position.

I will work closely with all law enforcement and investigative agencies, not to interfere in an investigation, but to be sure no stone is left unturned.

I will be a fulltime Coroner and available: not only for calls, but for any affected family to contact me with any questions, for guidance, or assistance. My response to any death will be immediate. No deceased individual will remain at the scene longer than necessary to complete a thorough investigation. I will also see that the Death Certificate is issued in a timely manner.

Under my leadership, the Coroner’s Office will investigate each death, without bias, and with sincere compassion for the deceased and their family. One of my goals will be to help ease some of the family’s burden associated with the death of a loved one.

The Office of Coroner should never be utilized for an individual’s personal financial interest. I have no financial interest associated with the Office of Coroner. I only want to work for YOU.
