Enterprise Police are Investigating a Domestic Violence Related Stabbing

The Enterprise Police Department is investigating a domestic violence related stabbing that occurred on November 7, 2017 around 6:30 PM.  EPD Officers responded to the 600 Block of North Rawls Street after EPD Dispatchers received a 911 call stating that a woman had been stabbed in the area.  Responding Officers located the suspect who immediately attempted to flee the area in a vehicle.  The suspect then exited his vehicle and fled on foot.

EPD Detectives discovered the victim and suspect were in a dating relationship and that a verbal altercation occurred prior to the stabbing.  The victim related to EPD Detectives that after she was stabbed, the suspect bound her feet.  The victim was able to remove the restraints and run from her attacker.  The victim was able to flag down a passing motorist who drove her to the hospital.  The victim is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

EPD Detectives have obtained arrest warrants on the suspect, who has been identified as Garrett Oneal Jones Arencibia, age 23, of New Brockton, AL, for Kidnapping 1^st and Attempted Murder. This is an active investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
