Florida Highway Patrol Investigating Fatal Hit And Run That Killed Three Linemen

According to a release by the Florida Highway Patrol, 22-year-old Ryan Barrett of Roanoke Springs NC, died today at the Southeastern Medical Center in Dothan.


The driver of the vehicle, 37-year-old John Goedtke of Tampa has been charged with felony DUI manslaughter, felony vehicular homicide and felony leaving the scene of an accident. Additional charges are pending.


Also killed in the accident were Chipley resident James Ussery, 60, and North Carolina resident George Cecil, 52. 


UPDATE: The third lineman struck by a driver on State 77 Wednesday night has died.
