HEADLAND:    10:00 PM.   For 25 years the citizens and guests of Headland and Henry County have enjoyed great BBQ from Scott Sanders And Three Pigs BBQ.

What started on the square later moved to the four lane. But you had delicious food. And Scott Sanders, the owner, was in the kitchen with hands on making sure the food was cooked right, great quality, and delicious.

Over the 25 years Aaron and Preston, Scott’s two son’s, have only known their dad to have Three Pigs BBQ.

This afternoon at 4 family, friends and co-workers presented Scott with a card and cake celebrating his retirement from Three Pigs BBQ. As of 10 PM tonight, it is officially CLOSED.

In about three weeks new owners will open the restaurant under a new name and new theme from the BBQ. So a restaurant will continue, just not Three Pigs.

Aaron is a Police Officer in Headland and Preston is with the United States Coast Guard. Scott will remain in Henry County with his chicken farm. He will grill for fun just not for a living.

Scott is thankful for his successful 25 years. He has met a lot of fine people over the 25 years from all over the world as they stopped in for food. He has enjoyed over customer and the support the people has given him over the 25 years.

His children started in kindergarten in Headland Schools and graduated from Headland Schools. He has and will continue to support Headland Alabama.

CONGRATULATIONS to Scott as he moves from one chapter of his life into another chapter.

And now Aaron will have to start buying his food! No congratulations on the family support of the entire family over the years.
