General Surgeon Joins Southeast Surgical Associates

SAMC welcomes Samuel James Harden, MD, FACS, general surgeon, to Southeast Surgical Associates. Dr. Harden is board certified in general surgery and comes to Dothan from the Panhandle of west Texas, where he was on staff at Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine, Baptist St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Amarillo and Mid Jefferson Extended Care Hospital in Port Arthur.
Dr. Harden received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Talladega College, Talladega, Alabama. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. He completed his internship in general surgery at Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He also did his residency in general surgery at Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center with surgery rotations at hospitals throughout Southern California.
