On Saturday, March 24, 2018, high school bass anglers from all over the country participated in the “2018 Mosy Oak Bassmaster High School Southern Open” at Lay Lake in Clanton, Alabama.

This event was presented and sponsored by Dick’s Sporting Goods.

There were approximately 270 two-man teams that competed in this competition.

Rehobeth High School students Cody Hammond and Rob Draper punched their ticket to the 2018 Bassmasters High School Series National Championship that will be held on Kentucky Lake this summer.

Anglers Hammond and Draper qualified by finishing in the top 10% with a 19th place finish.

The cost for each team to attend is approximately $2,500.

The boys will be participating in fundraisers but any sponsorships would be greatly appreciated.

Please contact Cliff Overstreet at 334-796-1547.

All of us at Rickey Stokes News would like to congratulate these boys on their accomplishments.

Great job, Cody and Rob!
