MONTGOMERY:    WSFA in Montgomery interviewed Alabama Kay Ivey about the gas tax.

During the interview the WSFA reporter asked Governor Ivey a question concerning the votes needed for the ten cents per gallon gasoline tax. The WSFA reporter asked about the votes of the freshmen Senators and House Members.

When RSN saw the video clip tremendous alarms were sounded that caused serious concerns for all of the Republican Senators and House Members and the freshman Senators and House Members.

This article is not debating the pro or con on the issue of the gas tax. Do not take this article as RSN being for or against the gas tax. This article has nothing to do with the RSN position on the gas tax.

This article is about the statements of Alabama Governor Kay Ivey in the WSFA interview that has placed all 35 Alabama Senators and 105 House Members in danger of criminal activity and their freedom. Not a freedom as in to do and say what you want but in the freedom from Alabama Senators and House Members being locked up in a jail cell.

On a federal charge you are placed in the Montgomery Municipal Jail. That has been referred to as close a person can get to hell without being in hell.

Ask former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman how quick it can happen. Ask Richard Scrushy how quick it can happen. Ask Mike Hubbard how quick your life can make a drastic turn. Ask Ronnie Gilley how quick your life can be turned and freedoms taken.

Remember the bingo trials?  You feel your actions are what is best for your voters and what the people you represent want you to do and that innocent action turns your life upside down, friends betray you, the Republican Party’s betrayal to you.  Then you have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to protect your honor, dignity and physical freedom.

In Alabama politics the term "vetting" means, we are going to make sure you do as told on certain issues, and if there is a commitment to "toe the line" then you will get campaign donations from our team members. If you do not, good luck, because we control the campaign donations that matter and that are large.

Now the law enforcement and prosecutors work is fairly simple: (1) get campaign disclosure forms for each elected Senator and Representative, (2) who are the individuals that donated and PACS that donated to the candidates, how are they tied to the road building, engineering, heavy equipment, concrete and ashphalt business, (3) how did that Senator and/or Representative vote on this issue, (4) what was asked during the "vetting" issue and what were the stipulations placed on you as a candidate in order for their support and campaign contribution?

And by the way, lying to a Federal Bureau of Investigation Agent is a crime. Remember Martha Stewart? She did not go to prison for insider trading, she went to prison for lying to federal agents conducting the investigation.

If I was "vetted" and received a campaign contribution, this gas tax would be the best thing that has ever been proposed, but I have just been placed in an extremely dangerous position on the gas tax issue and my casting a vote.

QUID PRO QUO - WIKIPEDIA

In common lawquid pro quo indicates that an item or a service has been traded in return for something of value, usually when the propriety or equity of the transaction is in question. A contract must involve consideration: that is, the exchange of something of value for something else of value. For example, when buying an item of clothing or a gallon of milk, a pre-determined amount of money is exchanged for the product the customer is purchasing; therefore, they have received something but have given up something of equal value in return.

In the United States, if the exchange appears excessively one sided, courts in some jurisdictions may question whether a quid pro quo did actually exist and the contract may be held void. In cases of "Quid Pro Quo" business contracts, the term takes on a negative connotation because major corporations often cross ethical boundaries in order to enter into these very valuable, mutually beneficial, agreements with other major big businesses. In these deals, large sums of money are often at play and can consequently lead to promises of exclusive partnerships indefinitely or promises of distortion of economic reports, for example.[3][4]

In the U.S., lobbyists are legally entitled to support candidates that hold positions with which the donors agree, or which will benefit the donors. Such conduct becomes bribery only when there is an identifiable exchange between the contribution and official acts, previous or subsequent, and the term quid pro quo denotes such an exchange.[citation needed]

END OF QUID PRO QUO - WIKIPEDIA DEFINITION:

Senators and Representatives - CAUTION - remember before spending the money... attorneys and the Attorney General told Ronnie Gilley that Country Crossings was legal. Then Bob Riley started his actions on Country Crossings. And Bob Riley was a huge law breaker in the things that he ordered during that era

Folks hate to shock you, but still today Bob Riley is the puppet master in the State of Alabama of most everything happening.

You are on dangerous ground and better tread with extreme caution.
