Evacuation of Mobile Homes, Modular Homes, RV's, Campers and homes in low lying areas will become MANDATORY at 6am tomorrow morning (Sunday) per Jackson County Emergency Manager Rodney Andreasen.  RV's and Campers can park in the parking lot at the MHS Football Field.  Residents and visitors who are affected by this evacuation need to plan to report to the shelter at Marianna High School by noon tomorrow.  Transportation to the shelter will be available until noon tomorrow.  The FHP will shut down bridges when winds reach 40 mph.  If you think you need to go to the shelter prepare to go by noon tomorrow.  Once winds reach 40 mph Emergency Vehicles cannot be on the roads.  Walmart will close at 5pm tomorrow.  Other retailers will probably follow suit.  If you are weathering the storm at home do not wait to get your essentials.  The time to prepare is now.  We hope that we are being overly precautious but now is the time to prepare.  Do not wait. The Jackson County Emergency Operations Center will activate to Level 1 at 6 a.m. tomorrow.  You may call 850-718-0019 or  850-718-0020 for more information after 6 a.m. tomorrow.
