Put your money where your mouth is and provide any evidence you have that police officers have planted evidence on anyone in the past 30 years.

Chief Parrish was responding to blogger Jon Carroll, AKA Mose Kalv, AKA Henry County Reporter has spewed out with accusations to discredit Chief Parrish, members of the Dothan Police Department, past and present, and District Attorney Doug Valeska.

in today's social media driven society many individuals take what they read on the internet as factual. While I am not in the habit of responding to misinformation published by online bloggers, accusations made concerning credibility of the men and women of this agency shall not go unanswered.

An attempt has been made to not only discredit me, but Dothan Police Department; the 20th Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office; and past employees of this agency by accusing members of this agency of criminal activity and others of coverning up such activity. While photo-copies of the documents posted online from Mr. Carroll appear to be authentic in nature they are arranged and redacted in a way to promote his agenda. The specific incident he is illustrating involving a former officer was addressed and handled in accordance with applicable laws and department policy when it occurred back in the late 1990's. The officer involved in his illustration has not worked at this department since that time. It is also important to note that the accusations against the officer were for improper storage of evidence and not "planting of evidence." To my knowledge, there had never been a single complaint filed against that officer during his entire career for the planting of evidence on anyone. There are simply too many outright lies and fabrications in the blog to address individually but his "opinion" has apparently been taken by many as "fact".

The members of this department are proud and loyal to our citizens and guests. We strive continually for excellence and are among only 5% of police departments who are nationally accredited through CALEA. We maintain our stance our stance on transparency and our doors are open to any Law Enforcement entity tasked with investigating claims of impropriety. We welcome the Department of Justice; the U.S. Attorney's Office, State Attorney General's Office or any independent appointee by such agency to investigate any allegations brought forth concerning this agency.

I would also ask Mr. Carroll to put his money where his mouth is and provide any evidence he has that police officers have planted evidence on anyone in the past 30 years.

Chief Parrish was very visibly upset ( pissed ) ( of which in the two decades of knowing him I have not seen ) over the garbage spewed by Jon Carroll AKA Mose Kalev AKA Henry County Reporter.

The documents and one of his information sources of these documents is Wykle Williams. And Williams is one of the two people which caused the doors to be locked in the Dothan Mayor/Commission/City Manager Office. Some 12 years ago Williams would appear in the offices with demands. The ladies were afraid of him and then Mayor Chester Sowell had locks placed on the doors for their protections.

Several weeks ago Jon Carroll, AKA Mose Kalev AKA Henry County Reporter put out allegations of cover up on the Beasley - Hawlett Murders. He used and manipulated murder victim Beasley's sister in his twisted saga. He said a "former" police officer told him information, when in fact the person was not a police officer at all.

Carroll, AKA Mose Kalev, AKA Henry County Reporter is a conspiracy theorist on everything. He takes information and twist that information to meet his conspiracy theory.

And he is listening to Wykle Williams and a couple other people. And that produces the misinformation and accusations which are absolutely untrue.
