KEEP GREAT MEMORIES GOING...
It’s 4 a.m., and as usual this time of year, I’m not sleeping much! I’ve been up since 2, going through a folder I keep memories of Mason Walding in. For those of you who don’t know, Mason was a DFD firefighter/paramedic, who, not only his family and friends lost on the night of September 1,2010 in a 4 wheeler accident, but so did DFD. I was just going over the October/December 2010 DFD Newsletter. There is an article in there written by Chief Larry Williams honoring Mason. I just wanted to say, again, as this 8th anniversary of the night he went to Heaven approaches THANK YOU! Thank all of you that stood by his casket, those of you, and your wives and girlfriends who called, visited, brought or sent cards or notes, donated money, came by my home to comfort me and my other children, but especially those of you who lifted that EXTREMELY heavy casket onto that fire truck and drove him up Hwy. 167 to the cemetery, so that he could have one last ride on that big red truck that he loved so much!
I just want you all to know, it hasn’t been forgotten and is still appreciated!
Love and prayers for you all, especially for your safety.
