MAN RECEIVES TASER AFTER REFUSING TO COME DOWN FROM ROOFMatt Boster

Officers with the DeFuniak Springs Police responded to a local convenience store in referenceto a suspicious male climbing on their roof. Officers arrived and recognized the subject as 33 year old Robert Huttonwho was wanted on a previous domestic violence charge. Hutton was requested by Officers to come down
from the roof, but refused and evaded police by jumping onto a nearbyshed. Hutton continued to refuse commands
by Officers trying to apprehend him. When Hutton moved to the center of the roof, an Officer deployed their
Taser and was able to take him into custody without further incident. Hutton was transported to the Walton CountyJail and booked on charges of Trespassing, Loitering or Prowling, Resisting
Officer without Violence, and Domestic Battery by Strangulation. At the time of this release, Hutton was stillbeing held on a $5,000 bond.
