Motor Vehicle Accident in Opp Last Night with Photos

On Monday October 9th 2017 around 9:50 PM, Opp Police Officers and Opp Fire Department responded to a residence in the 1100 Block on U.S. Highway 84 East in response to a motor vehicle crashing into the home. A 2014 Toyota Prius was traveling westbound on Highway 84 when it crossed over the opposite lane, leaving the roadway where then the vehicle struck a culvert and rolled over before coming to rest on top of the carport with a 2001 Lincoln Town car that was parked underneath the carport. The driver of the Prius was transported by Haynes Lifeflight to the Mizell Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained from the accident.
