Multiple Agencies Search for Missing Woman in Geneva County

On Thursday, March 01, 2018, The Alabama State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) began a search of several wooded areas in Geneva, Alabama. The purpose of this search was to investigate new information received by law enforcement regarding the Shanna Peoples missing person case.
This search involved the coordination of multiple area law enforcement agencies, along with Southwest Panhandle Search and Rescue Team. Participating agencies include: Geneva Police Department, Geneva County Sheriff’s Department, Houston County Sheriff’s Department, Geneva-Dale County District Attorney’s Office, SBI and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Shanna Peoples was last seen on Thursday, September 08, 2011 in the area of 303 N. Morris Street in Geneva, Alabama. Shanna was believed to be wearing a green tank top, blue denim pants and was 19 years of age when she was last seen.
