A man charged with murdering his three year old son, then stabbing himself multiple times, has been released from the hospital and booked into the Okaloosa County Jail. 61-year old Frederick Franken had been receiving medical care at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center following the March 15th incident.

He was initially in critical condition, however his condition improved enough for him to be transferred to the jail today.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged Franken with domestic violence related murder in the stabbing death of his son inside their Rawlins Court home.
