OCSO Investigating Suspicious Death of Crestview Area Woman

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after the body of a Crestview area woman was discovered in her detached garage during a welfare check last night.
69-year old Nancy Kirk Williams of 4189 Painter Branch Road was reported missing May 28th by her elderly mother, who said she last saw and spoke to her around 5 p.m. on May 26th .
A deputy who went to the home Monday evening to try to make contact with Williams found all the doors locked and no one around. He and other deputies went back later to try to get onto a second floor balcony and look inside. They found keys in an unlocked vehicle and made entry but no one was there.
However a search of a detached garage turned up Williams’ body. Crime scene investigators were called to the scene due to suspicious circumstances. Additional details will be released at the appropriate time.
