Person Down Call at Coggins Lands One in Jail

HOUSTON COUNTY: This afternoon Houston County Deputies responded to a report of a person passed out at the wheel in the entrance to Coggins. When deputies arrived they found a male subject slumped over in the driver seat with the vehicle in drive and the doors locked.


The deputy attempted to wake up the driver but no response. When back up arrived the deputy made entry and the driver came too. A firearm was in the driver floorboard between the drivers legs.


Paramedics with Pilcher’s ambulance checked out the driver and he was transported to the Houston County Jail.
