HOUSTON COUNTY:    Over the weekend I have been portraying the displeasure with the Alabama Pardons and Parole Officers assigned to 20th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Larry Anderson's courtroom this past week, the prosecutor and the Contract Defense Attorney Arthur Medley.

A young man has had a history of drug use. The young man has not complied with treatment. He is in the Houston County Jail for Probation Violation. The violations are not reporting into the Probation Officer, not paying the Probation Supervision Fees, and not paying his court ordered monies.

Firs, Contract Attorney Arthur Medley might have met with the defendant and his family for 10 minutes or less before the hearing. He does not know him and furthermore has terrible listening skills.

I personally told the Alabama Parole and Probation Officers, Contract Attorney Arthur Medley and the prosecutor this young man was accepted into Teen Challenge pending blood work.

Not one time did any of the four people ever tell Judge Larry Anderson this young man was accepted into Teen Challenge.

They really can not even tell you the full history of this young man and have never had a sit down conversation with him for any extent of time. But they were bound and determined to send him to the Alabama Department of Corrections SAP Program. Following that 8 weeks then they would consent to Teen Challenge.

Folks Teen Challenge is a year long program. When you enroll a $ 150.00 bus ticket is required because they will put you on the bus home.

The Chaplin from Houston County Jail and myself are probably the number one referral sources of Teen Challenge. Neither of us have ever been to a campus. But what we have seen is the results Teen Challenge has produced. The lives that God has changed through Teen Challenge. The lives changed on people who drugs had controlled their lives.

This young man knows the person in the video I am posting. And he told me that he wants what Clayton got because he knows how Clayton's life was and how it is.

Today I am told the prosecutor is firmly against anything other than what is in place            ( should I say not in place but having to be set up ) and that is completion of SAP and then Teen Challenge if it is set up then.

Well, Teen Challenge is set up. If one of the four of you had told Judge Anderson that on the day of the hearing he would be going to Teen Challenge. Judge Anderson has sent people to Teen Challenge. Judge Anderson knows how great Teen Challenge program is.

Since publishing my first article some have tried to tell Judge Anderson I am being critical of him. Nothing in the articles have been critical of Judge Anderson because he was not told about Teen Challenge acceptance.  Judge Anderson is determined the defendant will not die under his watch. But Judge Anderson was not told.

But the prosecutor, defense attorney, and two parole and probation officers never - ever - ever told Judge Anderson that Teen Challenge had accepted this young man.

So the plan is for this young man to go to the Alabama Department of Corrections - SAP Program ( Substance Abuse Program ). Once the 8 weeks is completed then the young man is to go to Teen Challenge.

PROBLEM:   This prosecutor has no idea of the Alabama Department of Corrections Substance Abuse Program. The Alabama Pardons and Parole Board Officers have no idea of the SAP program.

ATTENTION PAT JONES - DISTRICT ATTORNEY

20th JUDICIAL CIRCUIT

The Alabama Department of Corrections has a "paid" spokesman. A "paid" spokesman sells your story, but this "paid" Alabama Department of Corrections said the following which is the truth:

Published 5:38 p.m. CT Dec. 7, 2018 | Updated 11:06 a.m. CT Dec. 11, 2018

"There is a direct correlation between the level of prison violence and the shortage of correctional staff in an overpopulated prison system with limited resources for rehabilitating offenders," ADOC Public Information Manager Bob Horton said in an emailed statement this week. "The proliferation of drugs and criminal activity inside prisons also contribute to an increase in violent incidents. The Alabama Department of Corrections recognizes the seriousness of the problem and is taking steps to reverse this trend."

Multiple Alabama prison guards have been charged with or found guilty of promoting prison contraband and trafficking in illegal drugs in recent years. After the sentencing of a former guard this fall, U.S. Attorney Louis Franklin said it's "no secret that drugs have become rampant" within state prisons.

MESSAGE TO PAT JONES, YOUR PROSECUTOR, DEFENSE ATTORNEY ARTHUR MEDLEY AND THE TWO ALABAMA PARDONS AND PAROLE OFFICERS...

If you can read and understand the English language, read the above statement from the PAID spokesman of the Alabama Department of Corrections. Then read the statement of United States Attorney Louis Franklin about the drugs in the State of Alabama prisons.

So you can honestly say the best treatment for a young man on drugs is the SAP Program of the Alabama Department of Corrections verses Teen Challenge. You can look the family of this young man in the face and honestly say this is the best course of action considering the condition of the Alabama Department of Corrections. More important, can you hear the statement on your office's decision being made "well done thy good and faithful servant".

Or, is there people attempting to demonstrate they are powerful at the cost of a human life addicted to drugs. Just because they can, just because they have "the power and control over someone's life" doing what is in his best interest.

IN CLOSING, AND WHAT I AM ABOUT TO SAY IS CRUEL

I am not personal friends with this young man. Know the area where he lives but not where he lives. Met his wife at the court hearing for the first time ever last week. I know his mom but not seen her in years if not in a couple of decades.

God has given me the opportunity to be one grain of sand in the beach to be a catalyst to help some people who were addicted to drugs. Rickey Stokes did nothing except help one grain of sand fall into place for this person to be changed by God.

CRUEL STATEMENT:  If this young man walked out and a semi truck struck him and killed him, it would not change or alter my life because I have no personal relationship with this young man. Don't misunderstand me, I do not want that to happen and would feel very bad. But I can not tell you the last time I saw him and have no relationship where I would be around him.

But what I do have is the will and determination to fight against people who have personal egos to show their power and control over people. And just because they can, not work to play a positive role in changing someone's life.

This young man might fail Teen Challenge. But if he does and has to be looked at in a casket, guess what? I will have a clean heart because I tried.

That is my agenda...and I have seen the results of SAP and Teen Challenge. And there is no debate about the best program.

In conclusion if someone has the power to review this case, they need to review this case and re-evaluate this decision. There are two people that do: (1) Pat Jones (2) Larry Anderson.

You might not give a damn...and if you don't then that is on you. I only have the power to bring it to the surface. But without a doubt the two of you have the power to do what is best for this young man if the egos are removed.
