The Dothan Police Department is pleased to announce the graduation of Police Lieutenant Rachel David from the 274thSession of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.  Lieutenant David is a 16-year veteran of the Dothan Police Department and currently serves as Commander of 3rd Squad in the Patrol Services Bureau.  Lieutenant David represented Dothan in a class that included members from all 50 states, 23 International countries, five military organizations, and seven federal civilian organizations.


Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy Program offers ten weeks of advanced, executive-level leadership training for officers who have been selected through their proven records as professionals within their agencies.


Since 1935, a total of 51,519 graduates now represent the alumni of the FBI National Academy. The Dothan Police Department has a total of four graduates of the FBI National Academy, that are currently employed with the agency.  Lieutenant David is the first female representative to attend from the Dothan Police Department and one of only 2,305 female graduates since the program’s inception.
