Pursuit Lands One in Jail in MariannaMatt Boster

On December 4, 2017, Officers with the Marianna Police Department attempted to stop a red Nissan SUV for an equipment violation.
The driver, later identified as Jamal Heard, refused to stop and lead Law Enforcement on a pursuit. Heard failed to stop and stop signs and was driving the wrong way on a one way street.
The pursuit ended when Heard drove the vehicle into the Three Rivers Apartment complex where he was quickly apprehended.
Jamal Heard was transported to the Jackson County Correction Facility to await first appearance. He is being charged with Fleeing and attempting to elude Law Enforcement and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.
