Students Earn Job Readiness Certificate through Wallace Community College

Eufaula, Ala. – Wallace Community College – Dothan recently graduated three students from the Dothan Ready to Work program. Students earning certificates were Debra Ward (Kinsey), Evelyn Kennard (Dothan), and Gloria Rejas Camus (Pinckard). The Dothan class is held at the Alfred Saliba Family Service Center.
The Ready to Work program includes training in communication skills, conflict resolution, computer technology, time management, and financial management skills. Participants learn what it takes to be successful on the job and improve their earning potential. Successful completers earn an “Alabama Certified Worker” (ACW) Certificate and a National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC). Participants must possess a high school diploma or GED, and are actively seeking employment and/or plan to attend college or vocational training classes.
The program is offered three times per year in Eufaula and Dothan. The next Ready to Work classes begins April 1, 2019.
