Thank you for including Alabama in a lawsuit which jeopardizes health insurance for more than 20 million Americans, many with pre-existing conditions.  This ruling could also devastate Medicaid for millions.   The people of Alabama need one more thing to add to their worries as the Christmas season arrives.  You spent our state money to do this.

Thank you for ridding our state, which ranks #1 in the nation for legal (political) corruption, of the head of the AG’s Special Prosecutions Unit who was known for having “pursued political crooks with the fervor of a religious zealot. First for the state, then working for the feds, and then for the state again, he made cases against powerful men and women.”

Thank you for deciding to accept huge donations ($750,000.) from the Republican Attorneys General Association which is in the business of raising money through access to states’ AGs.  “CBS News got an inside look at one lavish RAGA retreat at Kiawah Island, South Carolina, where businesses and trade groups paid for access. Some of the companies are under investigation by state attorneys general, but still give large donations so they can get one-on-one access to AGs to state their case.”  These businesses and groups include Koch Industries, big tobacco, payday lenders, and the NRA.

Thank you for allowing me to sleep better at night, knowing that someone with your sincerity and integrity are at the helm of the AG’s office in Montgomery.  A well-known and read pundit recently wrote: “Since accepting Bentley’s appointment to the Attorney General’s office, Marshall has shown the fortitude and integrity of a bowl of cold mashed potatoes.”

Know this, I will be watching you.
