At 11:36 PM Sheriff Valenza called "in service" on patrol duty.
A tradition that Sheriff Donald Valenza started a number of years ago was to come out on Christmas Eve to allow Patrol Shift deputies time to go home and help their wives get ready for the big day of Christmas.
So Sheriff Donald Valenza is on the streets working patrol as a regular deputy. He is actively working the streets, patroling, doing preventive patrol. and answering calls the same as patrol deputies.
So just letting you know where your Houston County Sheriff is and what he is doing.
