Traffic Stop Lands One in JailMatt Boster

On February 06, 2018 at approximately 11:40 PM Officers of the Marianna Police Department observed a gold in color Honda traveling east on South Street, with inoperable tail lights. A traffic stop was then performed on the vehicle just east of Eva Mae Street. Upon officers making contact with the driver of the vehicle, Colby Bachelier, the odor of Marijuana was detected emitting from within the vehicle.
A probable cause search was then conducted. This search did result in the discovery of various narcotics to include, cocaine, marijuana, prescription narcotics, and synthetic cannabinoids. Along with these illegal narcotics several items commonly used in the sale and distribution of said narcotics, where also located in the vehicle.
Colby Bachelier was placed under arrest and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance on the charges of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of synthetic cannabinoids, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of prescription drugs without prescription.
