Two Pallets of Peanuts Donated to the Food Bank

The Peanut Festival and Alabama Peanut Producers are donating 2880 jars of peanut butter to the Local Wiregrass Area Food Bank (2 pallets) on Wednesday Nov 1. We will have a press conference and photo opportunity at the 25’ tall Peanut/ Hwy sign at Fairgrounds 10 am.


We invite you at 10 am to join us, after Peanut butter announcement we invite you to tour with us to see the new fairground paving improvements, vendor setups, arts and crafts set ups, and also to get pics/video of the rides going up.


The Recipe Contest is Wednesday 8 am-10 am (contestants drop off recipe entries)if you want to cover that event 1st. Recipe winners announced at 1 pm in NPF Volunteer Building. On Thursday, we invite y’all back for Cake Decorating contest winners announcement at noon (cake drop offs 9-10 am Thursday.)


Thursday 4:30 pm we host the Fairground Safety meeting and encourage your participation as we will tour the rides and meet in NPF office. Ribbon Cutting is Friday 5 pm. Last day to buy advanced gate admissions and Mega-Pass is Thursday at 5 pm.... a great photo opportunity for a live news story.... the line to buy last minute tickets gets long. Lastly, major ride setups start Tuesday (tomorrow)early morning with cranes lifting the rides into place.
