DOTHAN:     9:58 AM.   Dothan 911 dispatched structure fire 514 Riveredge Parkway. The fire started from a gas fireplace.

Reports are flames visible.

Dothan Fire Batallion Chief Pete Webb reported this is a working structure fire. Dothan Utilities has been called to the scene.

Water on Fire. Fire units checking the eaves of residence and ceiling. Heavy smoke on one side and visible fire through roof around chimney.

Dothan Batallion Chief has instructed ALL FIREMAN inside the structure to back out of the interior and do exterior only because fire broke through the roof.

Dothan Fire on defensive attack. Fire broke through the roof at several locations.

Dothan Fire Chief Larry Williams is on the scene.

The residence is Rick and Julie Ann Rikard. A lot of people have asked what they can do. It is my understanding a lot of their immediate needs have been met. They already have a place to stay temporarily.

I have asked people associated to let me know if any needs and I will post them. Lift them up in your prayers.
