OZARK: 3:26 PM. Ozark Police, Dale County Sheriff Deputies, Ozark Fire - Rescue are on scene of an armed robbery and assault on a police officer.
The scene is 261 Glennway in Ozark.

The suspect ran in the woods. Last seen wearing blue jeans, mask and armed with a handgun.

Ozark Police Chief Marlos Walker said no officer was injured. EMS was called to the scene to check the victim. The robber did not actually get to commit the robbery before he was scared off and ran into the woods.
Ozark Police Criminal Investigation Division is conducting the investigation.
