HOUSTON COUNTY:   11:29 PM.  Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched emergency units to 6430 Cottonwood Road to reports of a shooting.

Reports are subject shot his brother with a high powered rifle.

Multiple units responding. Pilcher Ambulance is staging until law enforcement has deemed scene is safe.

UPDATED @ 11:39 PM

Deputies downgraded emergency radio traffic. Deputies also cleared for rescue to enter the scene. No more details known at this time.

Rescue was cleared to enter the scene at 11:39 PM and at 11:57 PM has never left transporting anyone. Several Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigators are Responding to the scene.

One person is deceased on the scene. One person of interest is detained. Multiple Sheriff Investigators are investigating. The victim and person of interest are reported to be brothers.

Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd arrived on the scene a few minutes ago.

Matthew Forehand has been arrested by Houston County Sheriff Department for murder. Allegations are Matthew Forehand shot and killed his brother, Andrew Forehand, with a high powered rifle. Andrew was dead on the scene when Houston County Sheriff Deputies arrived on the scene.

The specific details have not been released. It is believed there had been a long running dispute between the two brothers.
