DOTHAN:    UPDATED SUNDAY NIGHT AT 8:09 PM

All I can say is I goofed. But fortunately in this "goof of mine" I have seen both churches in action.

The original article was written the " Crossroads Baptist Church " was the church downtown on Saturday cleaning up. That is because I did not read the church name but looked at the colors of the shirts and the glanced at the name. The colors matched those of Crossroads.

WRONG. I should have read. It was Cornerstone Church located at 2685 John D. Odom Road in Dothan. I apologize for the mistake of not looking close and assuming at a glance.

During Hurricane Irma I had the distinct pleasure of visiting this beautiful church and meet some of the staff and members. They were a Safe Haven for some of the evacuees. And this church membership took care of the guests that stopped in Dothan Alabama to be cared for and protected.

Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah and I went over and met them, looked at the fantastic facilities that GOD has blessed them with. And more importantly we had the chance to meet some great people who invested their time, energies and money into caring for others.

Dothan - Houston County is a great place. During Hurricane Irma, people from all walks of life and throughout the faith based community opened their hearts and wallets, and cared for the people displaced and landing in Dothan - Houston County. All churches.

THANK YOU Coronerstone Church for your work in downtown Dothan.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE WHERE I GOT THE TWO CHURCHES CONFUSED

On Saturday you saw a lot of people in downtown Dothan walking around. They were wearing red t-shirts.

On the front of the shirt " I love my Church" and on the back " I love my city".

These were members of all ages of Crossroads Baptist Church. They were walking through downtown Dothan with garbage backs cleaning up the streets and sidewalks, green areas and parking lots in and around downtown Dothan.

Crossroads Baptist Church is located on Westgate Parkway near Denton Road. A number of years ago I was passing through Slocomb and a Crossroads Baptist Church red buss stopped in front of a house. A young man on a walker was running out with the biggest smile you have ever seen to get on the bus to go to Crossroads Baptist Church.

THANKS to those working on Saturday and work you do.

In closing, while I confused the churches on Saturday. My interaction, both of these churches have their eyes on the right ball, JESUS, and ministering to others.
