HOUSTON COUNTY:  Multiple Fire units from Cottonwood, Lovetown and Hodgesville responded to a report of a structure fire at 2696 Dyras Road in Cottonwood. The first unit on scene advised fully involved. 


Cottonwood Police and Houston County Sheriff’s Office responded along with an ambulance from Pilcher's. Dothan Houston County Emergency Management and Red Cross responded to the scene.


The road the fire is located on is closed due to emergency equipment blocking the road. 


The homeowner escaped with a T-Shirt and pants, no shoes and nothing else. Just he and his wife.


Anyone who wants to make a donations through a gift card call Cottonwood City Hall or Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management at 334-794-9720. They lost everything.


Also Cottonwood Mayor Ken Hamilton was on the scene. He had just returned from the doctor in Birmingham.


Houston County Commissioner Doug Sinquefield was also on the scene.
