DALE COUNTY:   12:35 PM    Ozark - Dale County 911 dispatched Newton Police - Newton Fire - EMS - Dale County Sheriff Deputies to Dale County 18 and Highway 231 to a motor vehicle accident.

The accident involved a semi and a passenger car with the semi going over the guard rail.

Dale County Sheriff Deputy, the first officer on the scene, reported extrication equipment was needed.

Ozark - Dale County 911 has dispatched Ozark to the scene for extrication.

Matt Boster is responding.

The actual scene is at the double bridges on Highway 231. South bound one lane of traffic is closed.

UPDATED @ 1:40 PM...

The North bound lanes have been changed to north and south bound in order to keep traffic flowing. Traffic is backed up for miles in both directions. Two people were transported to the hospital by Ozark Rescue. Both South bound lanes are CLOSED and will be for a few hours as they attempt to clean up the wreck.
