GENEVA COUNTY: At 8:48 AM... Multiple Fire units from Hartford, Slocomb responded to a report of a structure fire Airport Road near Hwy 123 North of Slocomb. Slocomb Fire arrived on the scene and were able to quickly knock down the fire. The road the fire is located on is closed due to emergency equipment blocking the road.
Update @ 5:00 pm
After fighting the fire Slocomb Firemedics and Hartford Firefighter attempted to save the dog that was inside the home at the time of the fire. Firefighter Quentin Helms, Firefighter Theo Gordon and Lt. Brandon Hovey are seen working on the dog in the video below.
