Updated at 7:00 PM... Motor Vehicle Accident on US 231 South at Big Creek Bridge

HOUSTON COUNTY: 4:43 AM... Madrid Fire, Hodgesville and Rehobeth Rescue responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at Big Creek Bridge. The wreck involved a mini van and a motorcycle. The motorcycle driver was killed in the accident. The other driver was not injured.

Houston County Sheriff’s Office also responded. The area where the crash occurred is closed until it can be cleaned up. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.

The victim in this morning motorcycle accident has been identified by Houston County Corner Robert Byrd as 62 Year Old Kathleen Thomley.
