UPDATED at 8:42 AM.. Robbery of a Person Just Occured

HOUSTON COUNTY: At 8:10 AM... Suspcts in hoods robbed a person at gun point at Cowarts Creek Church on Lucy Grade Road. The suspects are beleived to have to have left in an older model gray or silver poniac passenger car in an unknown direction of travel.

Deputies are BOLOing for the vehicle while other deputies are arriving on the scene with the victim.

Multiple Deputies along with Ashford  and Cottonwood Police are searching the area and roads for suspect(s).

Anyone with information please call Houston County Sheriff Investigations at 334-677-4809.

Sheriff Donald Valenza has deputies spread out on many roads in the area searching at this time.

Deputies have stopped vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle in the 3400 block of Prevatt Road. The vehicle and it's two occupants were checked to see if this was the robbery suspects.

After checking out the two people in the silver Buick it was determined not to be the robbery suspects and they were released. Deputies are still looking for the vehicle and suspect or suspects.
