HOUSTON COUNTY: At 4:10 AM... Multiple Fire units from Gordon, Pansey and Lucy are rresponding to a reported structure fire at 75 Tifton..

First unit on the scene advised a two story house fully involved in fire. Ashford Rescue is also responding. Ashford Fire has also been requested.

The server weather was hitting this area EMA 1 advised units on scene that the main squalls were about to with high winds and exstream lightenin and for all units to beware of quickly changing condition. The house was a total loss.

The residence belongs to Gordon Mayor Melton. The fireman were hampered because of severe weather in fighting the fire.

The Alabama State Fire Marshall has been called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
