HENRY COUNTY:   7:25 PM.   Henry County Sheriff Will Maddox and multiple Henry County Sheriff Deputies and Alabama Game Wardens are searching for missing boaters.

They have requested air support from Dale County Sheriff Department.

Reports are the boaters went out last night and have not been seen since.

Three boaters went crappie fishing Wednesday night. At about 6 PM Thursday evening Henry County Sheriff Department was notified the three had not been heard from all night or all day.

Henry County Sheriff Will Maddox, multiple deputies and Alabama Game Wardens responded. As plans were being developed for search also nightfall was swiftly approaching.

Georgia units came to assist. Henry County Emergency Management assisted.

Dale COunty Sheriff helicopter responded.

Today there were a lot of fisherman on the water. There have been no reports of any boat or persons in distress found.

Shortly after 10 PM the search has been called for the safety of those searching. It will be a wide area search.

Emergency responders are assembling at 8 AM on Friday at Thomas Mill Creek to resume search.

Search teams from multiple agencies arrived around 8 AM this morning at Thomas Mill Creek in Henry County. Within about one hour one body had been recovered.

More searches are underway at this time.
