U.S. Highway 431 Resurfacing to Begin MondayMatt Boster

ABBEVILLE, Ala. – An Alabama Department of Transportation project on U.S. Highway 431 from north of County Road 18 to south of County Road 42 in southwest Abbeville, will begin on Monday, April 2, weather permitting.
The project will consist of planing, resurfacing, and traffic stripe.
There will be temporary lane closures throughout the project. Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling through the construction zone and to plan accordingly as delays are expected.
ALDOT awarded the project to Midsouth Paving, Inc., out of Birmingham, Ala., at a cost of $2,231,050.10 with 55 working days. The project is expected to be complete by the end of June 2018.
