Verizon offers free call, text and data during storm; lifts speed cap restrictions for first-responders

Some Verizon Wireless customers who reside in the Florida Panhandle and areas of Alabama in the path of Hurricane Michael will receive free calling, texting and data Oct. 10-14.

Verizon is also lifting speed cap restrictions for first responders in Alabama and Florida.

According to a press release from Verizon Wireless, the company will be monitoring the storm’s path and impact and will make additions and adjustments as needed.
