BONIFAY, Fla. – A controlled narcotics buy led to the arrest of a Vernon woman on Monday for the sale of methamphetamine. Investigators with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office received information from a source who stated they could purchase methamphetamine from Toni L. Phillips, 38, of Pompey Avenue in Vernon.
Phillips advised the source that after the methamphetamine sale was complete, she could then pick up and also sell Fentanyl patches. Following the methamphetamine transaction, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office investigator stopped Phillips while she was traveling on Deacon Road in Bonifay.
During the ensuing contact, Phillips advised the deputy she was “only selling methamphetamine in order to pay for a new brake caliper.” Phillips was arrested and charged with Sale of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) and also for an existing Holmes County warrant.
