Showers and thunderstorms are expected to sweep across the area on Saturday, starting early in the morning in southeast Alabama and spreading eastward through the day. The Storm Prediction Center has placed a portion of the area in a "Slight Risk" for severe thunderstorms, mainly across the Florida Panhandle and southwest Georgia (see attached graphic). 



At this time, the main threat appears to be for damaging wind gusts. However, we will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated through the next few days as the threat evolves
