Wicksburg’s Morgan Kramer Signs on the Dotted Line with NCAA D2 Spring Hill College for Softball

Wednesday afternoon, 17 year old Morgan Kramer, a senior, at Northside Methodist Academy, officially signed with NCAA D2 Spring Hill College. Her proud parents, Tim and Gayla Kramer, and her sister, Madison, from Wicksburg, were by her side when she signed. Morgan’s Coaches at Spring Hill College, Joe Guthrie and Courtney Foster, could not attend due to NCAA Rules and Restrictions.


Morgan’s mom stated that ever since Morgan swung the bat at the age of 4, she knew that little girl’s love for the game would take her just as far as she wanted to go. Her hard work, dedication and devotion to not only softball, but her academics, is what has made all this possible, says Mom. “She loves basketball, but softball has always been her #1 choice”, says Dad.


Her teammates, trainer and coaches were all on hand to celebrate with her. Morgan said her all-time favorite quote is “hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard.” She also stated she is beyond blessed and gives all glory to God. Morgan is attending Spring Hill College in Mobile on Academic and Athletic Scholarships.
